Feeling rather guilty
As he has been reluctant to let me brush him and he is moulting hard I grabbed Bruce and had a go at plucking out his clown trousers this evening. In my defence I did not pull out anything that wasn't loose but he has still ended up with a small bald spot! He didn't indicate he was in any pain though. He just looks so scrappy now and he leaves patches of fur wherever he goes.

If he did not indicate he was in pain he will be fine. Sounds like he moulting badly, bless him. It is for his own good that you did it so do not feel guilty, better than him swallowing it and getting a blockage.

Re: Feeling rather guilty
He has since been up for crunchies and nose rubs so he can't be feeling that bad!

Re: Feeling rather guilty
The same with Bert, moulding badly with no sign of flea or dandruff, but fur feels slightly sticky and just masses come out. I guess it was so hot for the last fortnight they just try to get rid of some fur. Hopefully anyway. Does not seem upset or in pain in fact is quite lively.

Re: Feeling rather guilty
This year has been the worst molt I've ever seen personally on a bunny. We have swirls of white rabbit fur making dust tornadoes instead of dust bunnies! They swirl up a good meter off the floor or more when his bunny 500's stir up the air. Rory's markings have changed so much he looks like a totally different bunny. I wouldn't be able to identify him. He even has a brown spot on top of his tail!

Re: Feeling rather guilty
Snowflake is really bad this year,I've never really noticed before her moulting but you can tell now,I keep trying to get a sneaky brush here and there or with wet hands try and attempt to stroke her but as you know,it doesn't go down very well

Poor Bruce! Bless his little bare bum! I'm sure it will all fill in soon. The skin looks healthy.

Re: Feeling rather guilty
No, I was shocked too. As I said it just came out, not effort put in. He doesn't seem bothered by it. You can't see it unless you part the fur.

Re: Feeling rather guilty
Binky has a lot of loose fur under and to the side of his ltitle bob and it comes out really easily. He is moulting but not excessively and I am so sorry to hear about the problems other buns and their mums and dads are having.

Its great for rosie and Jim now they are in the new run theres a couple of trees in there which they must rub against as the tree base looks like a tree shaped bunny as there is so much fur stook to it
