Update Sunday 18:41 pm

Jeff is still doing well he was a bit quiet this morning but I think he was feeling a bit sore. He didn't eat any of his breakfast when I put it in and by the time he did feel peckish Lexi had eaten most so I picked him some fresh dandelions, and hand fed him some fresh herbs which he enjoyed and I'm hoping now he has had his meds he will eat his nice tea as Mike has been out and bought some more fresh herbs. I'm trying not to give him anything that will cause him discomfort to eat so I'm giving him very little pieces of carrot.

Lexi has made no effort to lick the Manuka honey off his wound so that's good but everytime he has his injections she washes the area he had it in when he is put back with her.

I'm glad he is doing ok  

If I was poorly, I'd want to be at Tuckerbunnies  

So would I Sparky, so would I!!

Thanks for the updates Maysie on HH and via email. So glad to hear Jeff's ears are up again!! He must be starting to feel better.
Huge thanks for all the care you & Mike and Honor are giving him....he's in such good hands.

Thank goodness Jeff was with people like Maysie and Mike who are so knowledgable and who care so much. I hope he makes a good recovery.

Hello,

Maysie sent me an update last night:
Jeff is still doing well he’s far more alert now eating tons of hay, washing and we are very happy at his progress.
Had his metacam and septrin and vetergesic for the night and his abscess cavity cleaned and packed. No swelling at all.

  

I just love this bun, and I love Maysie and Mike for everything they're doing for him.

Update Wednesday 12:14pm

Jeff is doing really well he has now finished the injectable medicines he was on and the abscess site is healing nicely and so today he will be going back in their pen in the boarding shed and we will put the CCTV camera on them so we can still keep an eye on him. He is still on Metacam and Septrin twice a day and is having the abscess cavity cleaned and packed with 'Pure Gold' Manuka Honey Active 25+.

He is such a trooper, I always feel a bit sick (with worry!) when I see rabbits with abscesses because it just reminds me of what I went through with PB, and its so so tough, and Jeff is coming through something so much worse, he is such a little fighter, I am so pleased for him.

I am so pleased you are getting better you gorgeous little love bunny.

Update 22:59pm

As you can see his abscess site is looking so much better and tonight Jeff and Lexi are back in the boarding shed 'Keegans Kabin' and very happy bunnies indeed after spending day and night in an indoor cage. Lots of binky's and running around from Lexi and Jeff has scent marked everything and was chilling out amid the hay.  









 

Jeff is doing BRILLIANTLY! He is healing incredibly fast for an abscess. The wound margins are clear and are starting to fill in with tissue. Tuckerbunny miracle #1,200,457.  

That really is clearing up fast  

Having lost three rabbits to abscesses on the jaw I know how hard they are to heal. Well done for this excellent result. A combination of veterinary expertise and total devotion to a good outcome. Jake is so lucky to have boarded with you. It probably saved his life.

Update Saturday 17th August 17:29 pm

Jeff continues to improve each day, he is a lot happier and more like the Ninja Jeff we know and love. He is still on his Septrin and Metacam and will be for another week or so.

Before he goes home Mike is going to take him for a check up with Honor just to make sure everything is healing nicely and ok.

That does seem to be healing incredibly well
