Re: Help any advice please
Thank you heaps, it is actually your youtube clips of Domino that lead me to this forum. It was during one of her bad nights that I was frantically trying to find answers online that I came across the Domino clips. Our flopsy is very similar to your bunny but instead of black markings hers are brown.
Thank you for uploading those clips the lead me here and gave us hope when hope was low. Because of your clips my 11year old son gives flopsy daily head massages.

Re: Help any advice please
Oh really, that's made me smile - it's so sad to see our bunnies suffer but my main goal with Dominos videos was to help new members find their way here if they are in the same situation, so I am glad you found us!
Domino hits his 1 year progress next week and I am going to do a video to show how far hes come. Keep up the good work! x

Re: Help any advice please
Sadly I am not sure that our flopsy is going to get over this she is eating, drinking and going to the toilet but we are doing all the work (feeding her, giving her water and keeping her bottom clean) she is basically bed ridden. We are making sure she is comfortable, pain free and loved.

Re: Help any advice please
Four weeks today. She has been a fighter but now we are starting to see her giving up. Very sad time but atleast we know that whatever time she has left it wont be spent alone.

Re: Help any advice please
Very sorry to hear she is not doing better
Buns can show a dramatic improvement in a very short time, but equally they can go downhill fast. I hope she does the former
I know just how tough it is to battle away for so long then lose the battle anyway, and my heart goes out to you. I hope she gives you clear signs of what she needs and you are able to make a firm decision one way or the other. Sending you loads of love

Re: Help any advice please
Well our flopsy is still hanging in there she hasnt improved but hasnt got worse. The vet has told us they wont dont do anymore for her unless we want to put her to sleep.
Heres the thing though she is not showing signs of pain, she is eating and toileting, she is still responsive and liking cuddles so I have to remain hopeful.

Re: Help any advice please
I know that Sarah-Jane's bun Domino was very very ill and it is a miracle that he is as recovered as he is, but it has taken a long time. It is probably really tiring for her to do anything now she has head tilt as her balance will be so badly compromised.
But the pluses are that she doesn't appear to be in pain or suffering, she is still eating and drinking, her digestion is working fine. All these are very positive signs and, hopefully, it should be a case of waiting and being there for her.
At least you know you have support from us.

Re: Help any advice please
Did you check out the on the wonk yahoo group? I really do think that they can give you further specific advice including anything more your vet should be considering. Is the vet continuing to prescribe any medicaiton?

Re: Help any advice please
A bath?
You shouldn't give rabbits baths. A gentle sponge if they are dirty but not a bath.

Re: Help any advice please
More a booty bath than a full on bath like people have. Sorry didnt mean like in the bath tub haha. As she cant groom she sits in the sink while we wipe her down, strangely she loves it and tries to direct the cloth
