UPDATE FRIDAY. 18:57 PM


Arfa ate all his tea up again last night and he is now eating his carrot cruncher treats (else he wasn't ) so we think his mouth is feeling a bit better. He also ate all his breakfast this morning so he is obviously feeling a lot better.

He's not the easiest bun to give meds to with him being blind as he panic's and get's stressed which we could do without him getting worked up but he has to have his meds as they are important . He's also more alert and washing himself all of which he wasn't do. He also isn't breathing bad at the moment like he was.

So another good day

SATURDAY 22ND MARCH

Mike has taken Arfa for a 3:30 pm appointment with Honor, although he is eating well he has started to breathe bad again and he is making noises again ( like clearing his throat ) we just thought he would be best to have a check up in case he has an infection in his mouth where he had two teeth removed or it's something to do with the mass in his chest. So can we have more Vibes for him as he really is a brave and special little lion.

UPDATE 16:10pm   

Arfa is not good, although his lungs are clear as the vet checked them he is breathing 100 breaths a minute she has put him back on Septrin and Metacam and we may have to come to some decision over the weekend over having to say goodbye to him. At the moment I'm in tears as I know he's never going to get better only worse and our vet think's this is the start.
There is an operation but it's a big operation and both Mike and I and our vet don't think he would survive it as he is.

So a sad weekend for us all   

It's just not fair    

I'm feeling a bit better as Seemingly it's at 'some point' not 'over the weekend' that we may have to say Goodbye to Arfa.

It's Mike's fault blame him   

so Mike is home now with Arfa and Arfa seems so happy to be back home and is having a wash. The vet think's his breathing is could be the start or could just be some inflammation so we have some meds for that and we have to see how he goes on. So we are going to give him some time to see if we can manage his breathing if not well then we decide.

The operation involves cracking the breastbone open and it's a massive op and a poor survival rate. We are not putting Arfa through that. He has severe dental damage as well that can't be operated on or fixed. It's enough for a blind bunny to cope with.

Im so very sorry to hear this, the little guy has not long found you both.

But he arrived with you for a reason, so that he could be loved and cared for and to be happy. You have done all of these things for him, and whatever happens you made his world a good one.

Whatever happens, Arfa has known what it is to be loved. He is a very special bun and you and Mike are very special people

I don't know what to say but please spare the operation to him. Yes I know we all want for our buns to stay as long as possible and have the best of everything. A blind bunny to be cared for by maisey and mike... That's it, even if difficult can we hoomins except when a bunnies time has come. And I know you two have the knowledge. All we as the outsiders can do is support, hug, comfort, and share. And. At any point I m happy to do just this to you both and all Tuckerbunnies .
