Should I be putting hay out?
With the weather being so lovely lately, the buns are currently spending at least 4 hours out in the garden each evening, but it's normally more like 6+. I am trying to let Mr Mo have as much time out and about as he can because he just absolutely loves it and is a different bun (which reminds me, I really need to get some footage of him binkying and bunny 500ing round the garden!)
Anyway, just a quick question...
They've got plenty of grass to nibble on whilst out there, and it might seem a silly thing to ask, but do I need to be putting hay out there for them to eat as well? I want them to eat plenty of grass (especially Mr Mo) as Katie tells me it's fab for dental buns.
Thanks all

Re: Should I be putting hay out?
I don't put hay out there ... although mine can pop back into the shed at any time to ignore the hay in there..... lol
So long as they are eating the grass while they are out there then its prob the best thing for them. :-)

Re: Should I be putting hay out?
Do they use a tray outdoors?
I put hay in the litter tray then they can sit and nibble it in as they poop it out! Seriously, my buns always enjoyed lounging in the tray on a warm day eating sweet smelling hay ... it was a part of their summer.

Re: Should I be putting hay out?
Thanks guys
I think I will put a bit out there for them in a tray then. I'm sure they'd both rather have grass but it will at least put my mind at rest
