Charlie very poorly
Please can I have some positive vibes for my Charlie Bean.
I let him out last night at 6pm and he was totally fine - munched quite happily on some grass and then did an inspection turn of the garden as he normally does.
Then at 7pm I went to get him for his evening meds and I knew straight away something wasn't right as he didn't make a run for it. Then he didn't eat his dinner. By 8pm he was floppy and tired. He wasn't hunched or tooth grinding, just tired and floppy. I rang the emergency vet and syringe fed him every two hours through the night
He was no better so I rushed him up to Andover this morning. He was xrayed within 5 mins of being there but there are no obvious problems with his tum. He has been admitted :-(
Im so worried - my buns have been through all sorts of various bouts of stasis and fits and sulks and tooth pain and back pain and heart problems but ive never seen a floppy listless bun like this before. His glucose is normal too so we don't think this is belly related?
Does anyone else have any ideas... he literally went from normal to very poorly in an hour!

Oh no, poor Charlie.
I've got everything crossed for him.
Is there anything in your garden that he's maybe eaten that he shouldn't have? Although surely he'd have tried that before if there was
I've no idea. I'm sorry.
Keep us posted x

Re: Charlie very poorly
That was my thought but we are so careful I just don't understand it.
I'm just waiting for an update from the vets. So worried about him

vibes for charlie bean
sending hugs and big vibes for Charlie. My first thought was something poisonous in the garden but as you are so careful as we all are
where our buns are concerned that couldn't be it.
Thinking of you and Charlie
It is so distressing when something happens so quickly and you don't know why
Take care

Re: Charlie very poorly
Poor wee Charlie.
You don't think he could have been stung or bitten by something?
It's awful, terrible ... when they are poorly. My best wishes are with you both.

OMG. Poor Charlie:(
I can't think of anything that wasn't mentioned so far.
Hope the vet will find out what is wrong and able to treat it promptly.
Sending hugs to you.

Re: Charlie very poorly
Thanks guys. John phoned this morning and said that he had passed some pooh! yay! and that he was reasonably alert and also had done a small amount of moving around.
Im driving up to visit him later (very excited to see him) but he obviously cant come home right now.
Home is terribly quiet without them :-(
I did think that Dee... because I really cant think of any other reason for what might have happened.
Keep the vibes coming guys they are working :-)

Re: Charlie very poorly
So I've seen him and he is doing much better.
I'm off to kent in a bit as I have a wedding tomoZ and my nan has also been poorly so he is safely with john until I can get back . I am confident that he is starting to improve xx
