Foxglove's not well - any ideas?
Hi. Foxy has lost weight (gone from 1.4kg to 1.15kg in short period of time) and has started weeing on the bed, sofa and on lee (when he is sitting on the sofa). She has an odd look about her and isn't being herself. I had her teeth checked yesterday to make sure it isn't that and the vet asked me to get a urine sample incase it is a urinary infection wihch i am trying to do at the moment. so i wondered if anyone had seen similar or had any other thoughts? She has been on metacam and septrin for probably cominmg up to a year now for her teeth so the vet said she may have built up an intolerance to it which is why the septrin is not effecting her if it is a urinary infection - or i guess it could be something else??

Oh sorry to hear that Rachel. I wouldn't have a clue about it, but I'm sending big healing vibes for beautiful Foxglove x

has she been panacured? it could be E.C as that can link to incontinence?
I hope she is okay! thinking of her

Really sorry to hear this Rachel.
I'd suspect EC too - I think both weight loss and incontinence can be caused by an EC infection.
I was just reading this - http://www.kynochvets.co.uk/ECuniculi.html
Maybe try a 4 week course of Panacur (or is it 6 weeks? I'm never sure )

when you say incontinence - do you mean actual incontinence where you can't choose where you wee and it just comes out wherever you are coz she seems to know where she wants to do it - just in very strange places she has never done it before?? that is an interesting link - thanks - will defo tell my vets about it.

Re: Foxglove's not well - any ideas?
well the urine tests came back all clear. have started her on a 6 week panacur course and when she has her teeth done on monday they are going to do a blood test. to be honest yesterday she looked more normal and didn't stink of wee and didn't seem to be weeing everywhere so maybe she is a bit better but hopefully the blood test will reveal more. thanks for your thoughts.
