Hi all, johns had annual injection and check up on Monday. All ok.

Yesterday I discovered blood on his neck where he had injection. Rang vets and she said to bathe in cotton wool and that as long as there was no discomfort or no lumps, then it should be ok.

Johns seems ok. Eating and pooping okay. He is a bit quieter than normal but it has been very hot. He keeps scratching the spot where injection was so don't think that is helping. He bit reluctantbto let me look although doesn't flinch when I do. It's a bit hard now but that could be the blood drying.

Do you think I should take him back to vets? Just to be sure?

If it was annual, it might be VHD. Did he have Cylap because some other people report that their buns get a sore spot where the jab was administered.

Hi erm think it was VHD cos he had myxi one earlier in the year.

I am going to call the vet tomorrow and see if I should bring him in.

He seems to be ok. I tried to bathe but it was difficult and he has a black crust on it now assume dried blood??? There is a slight bit of fresh blood but he keeps scratching at it so that probably why.

Thanks for your help ladies, will keep you posted. Xxx

Hiya he was fine when I let him out this morning. He still got the caked blood on his neck and I tried to bathe it but he wouldn't sit still.

I think I should take him to vets to be on safe side.
