Veggies question
Hi
What and how often do you give your buns veggies? Shadow gets a bowl of fresh veg every night, I give him Kale, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, dill, parsley, basil, coriander, carrotts, cabbage, apple, pear, obviously not all that all at once lol.
Just wondering if I'm giving him the right stuff and in the right quantities.
Thank you
Emma x

Re: Veggies question
Ours get a small bowl of mixed veg in the morning and a bowl at tea time too.
They eat pretty much what you feed Shadow (apart from fruit which they all spurn ), but they also get spring greens, romaine lettuce and celery. BJ and Noo also like the occasional cherry tomato.
Sounds as tho Shadow is a very lucky and spoilt bunster

Re: Veggies question
Thank you.
Shadow is a very pampered boy, my neighbour thinks that if he were to cook him he'd taste good with all the herbs he eats!
I was just starting to worry that I was over feeding him. I'd also just read that too much kale wasn't good for their kidney's.

Re: Veggies question
Bertie is a very spoilt bun when it comes to veg...like Janak, I'm too scared to say But he eats a lot - I've got his pellet intake down to a few a day, so the veg had to increase, or he goes into a protest demolition mode! You can see his veg intake here
Re: Veggies question
Again mine have veggies every day and have a bowlfull which will contain at least 3 varieties of vegetables. They get fruit once in a blue moon so I give them carrot tops and gratings a few times a week as their sweet treat, the majority of the rest of the bowl is made up of leafy veggies which are great for promoting even tooth wear.
Re: Veggies question
Tibbs tends to be more partial to green leafy veg than anything hard, like carrots, but she gets them anyway!! Her favourites are apple and coriander, and she's very partial to blackberry leaves as well.

Re: Veggies question
Mine have spring greens every day, mixed with either celery, peppers, carrot, cucumber, herbs, dandelions, apple, pear, cauliflower, brocolli. I generally give them greens and two others.
