Bella Has Actually Lost It
I just went downstairs to get a drink. I was at the sink filling my glass when I noticed a white shape outside the window. Earlier on today I had opened up the guinea pigs outdoor hutch, so that when Oprah and Thumper were out in the yard, they had access to shelter (there hutch is stacked up so they wouldn't be able to get into it unaided, Oprah needs a stanna stair lift anyway the fat cow). Anyway, the GP hutch is a Pets @ Home Thistle Hall, so it is a 1 up 1 down. Although it is quite large it is very flimsy, and definately NOT giant rabbit sized. Yet there she sits, on the upper level, looking out at me from behind the wire. I opened the back door and said "Bella what on earth are you doing?". She just looked at me, as though she was actually laughing and quite chuffed with herself, and then had a very cramped wash?!
She has the shed, the yard and the house all at her disposal, but know she decides to sit in a cramped guinea pig hutch. She is, it can only be said, quite mad! I Bloomin well love her!

I have no idea Vanessa, she needs her head looking at. Before I go to bed I am going to have to go back down and check she isn't stuck. I have just put her supper out in the kitchen so am waiting to hear the cat flap go.
Re: Bella Has Actually Lost It
Awww bless her I have a spare hutch in the garden that Bluey came in, and every now and again I'll catch him sitting at the top just looking at me through the bars, he has free range of a 3 bedroom house yet he chooses to sit behind bars in a hutch
Re: Bella Has Actually Lost It
For those of you who haven't seen Bella .... here she is when she met my dutch!
Re: Bella Has Actually Lost It
She is WONDERFUL. She was handed over to the RSPCA and came to me as a foster. But after much deliberation and her learning to use the cat flap, I just couldn't part with her.

Aww bless, it is soo nice to hear that someone else's bunnies use a catflap I don't blame you for not parting with her, I know I couldn't. It amazes me that people can just give up on their pets, I ended up with Bluey cos his old owners got a new puppy and Bluey just got in their way

Thanks Helen, she is isn't she!
Re: Bella Has Actually Lost It
Just been down as heard the cat flap go in a rather boisterous style earlier. She has come in, eaten some of her supper and gone back out to the GP hutch..... It is obviously the latest cool place to hang out!

Haha! I know. They are indoors so she has taken it upon herself to notify us that posession is 9/10ths of the law. I would be amazed if their summer abode is still in one piece by the time it warms up.

Re: Bella Has Actually Lost It
I was outside today clearing away some of the snow in the compound. It came out in blocks that were 1ft thick. The whole time I had an audience of two really curious bunnies who had to sniff and chin each block. Took blooming ages!
