He thinks that perhaps last time, becuase they had to work round the mask to keep him under, the vet doing it didn't get all the infection out.

Re: Bad News - Dave Has Another Lump u/d!
I really hope that is what it is and everything goes well tomorrow.
My bridge bun Mizz had a pattern of abscesses that kept 'moving' around her head area, i.e. she seemed to keep reinfecting herself. In the end, the vet suggested packing the wounds with manuka honey and it worked amazingly well. Even the vet who recommended it was astounded at how quickly everything cleared up.
I'm probably telling you something you already know but it would be worth it if it helped poor Dave.

Re: Bad News - Dave Has Another Lump u/d!
Dave came through op ok. He came round well and he was welcomed back to his kennel at vets by Tara. I have been in uni all day and went to collect Lenny my other foster bun, from the vets today, post castration. Tara has licked his stitches a bit. They are keeping him in overnight to ensure wound stays sealed and he can come home tomorrow. As long as Tara isn't going to fuss with the wound then it should all be fine. The vet had gone home by the time I got their to collect Lenny, so will have more info on success tomorrow. If he is on jabs for next week, then Dave and Tara will be staying with me until next weekend. If he is not on jabs, he will leave me on Sunday.
I cannot tell you how stressed I have been all day waiting to see if he is ok. Looking forward to my consultation with vet tomorrow to find out what happened and how it went.

Even more vibes for the lovely Dave.
I can only imagine your stress levels ..... I think I've logged on about five times today to see if there is any update on him and I've never even met him (though I feel I know him personally). And I have a feeling that I'm far from the only HH member whose done that!
I hope it's good news tomorrow.

These little furry snugglebuns really tear at our heartstrings don't they?
Sending loads of healing vibes to Dave.

I like the image of them binkying off into the sunset! It is gonna be so hard to part. Why do I foster again?

Re: Bad News - Dave Has Another Lump u/d!
He is home... sorry couldn't update yesterday had alot of RSPCA bunny stuff on and then my Nan thought it would be a great idea to have to go to hospital in an ambulance so was there all night.
Anyway, we have had to separate them when they are not monitored as Tara likes to clean his stitches. Dave is on jabs this week and has his final check up on Friday. There were a chain of small abscesses in his face whcih Mikel thinks were the remnants of the last op, where the vet was concerned about taking out too much tissue and probablh left small amounts of infection in. I will get a picture of his face as it is quite impressive. They said that they cannot believe how happy he is all the time, considering everthing he goes through!
Tara's owners are coming to get her tonight as they are really worred about her licking at the wound. They also feel that I have too much on, even though I keep telling them they are fine. Bless her x

Re: Bad News - Dave Has Another Lump u/d!
So pleased to hear that he has got through his op. What a worry for you on top of all the essays and coursework. You really are a trooper (or old trout, can't decide )
It sounds like the people who are taking him are really decent people and I can understand you being concerned that they might walk away from him, but it doesn't sound like they will.
Sending healing vibes for this lovely boy. (((((((((vibes))))))))
