Sunnys first trip to the vet.
Took Sunny today for first vacc today and got the vet to sex sunbun for me as I was told male but i had a feeling female, and he is a she, So I now know once and for all that sunny is a little girl. My o/h is not impressed as he is surrounded by girls now LOL
Poor little mite was terrified, she was trembling so hard! I felt so sorry for her but I know it is for the best.

Re: Sunnys first trip to the vet.
Oh dear....you won't be the first nor sadly the last to have a missexed bunny! They seem to get better around the vets as they get older, even my little wildie isn't so terrified anymore and she dislikes strangers intensely.
Re: Sunnys first trip to the vet.
Congrats... it's a girl
When I got Brynn I was told she was a "she... most likely"
Researched, and investigated for myself and decided she was "probably a girl"
We named "her" Brynn and decided we'd change it if the need arose. Took her to the vet thinking we'd finally know for sure, and the (rabbit savvy) vet said with confidence. "OH yes, it's a girl"... followed by "Well.... actually... let me check again"... followed by "Yeah, it's a girl... I'm pretty sure!"
Weeks later I took her in for "the procedure". Following her spay the vet's office called and told me "HE is doing just fine, he's already coming to, and he is so sweet!"
By this time I couldn't imaginge her being anything other than my sweet little Princess Brynn so I screamed "HEEEEE????"
Luckily, it turned out to be a simple error on the receptionists part

Re: Sunnys first trip to the vet.
I know how you feel ElleyMay. When we got Gloria, the rescue said she was a girl, but she was such a ball buster, I wondered if she was a he. It was only when the vet spayed her that I definitely believed she was female. Even with all that fluff!

Re: Sunnys first trip to the vet.
Glad you got an answer to Sunnys disposition
There was never any doubt Bertie was boy, the vet said he had the biggest plums he'd ever seen on a bun

Woooo congrats on your girl! See a mother's intuition is never wrong. x
Re: Sunnys first trip to the vet.
I knew Chewy was a boy as soon as I got him, since he had the habit to hump anything (until he got neutered).
I wasn't sure about Kenzo, because he never showed any male atitudes...
I just hoped he was a boy, and he is

I was told when I rescued Bluey, I was told he was a "she" called Bluebell
When I picked him up, I quite happily pointed out his huge furry teabags and quickly shortened his name to Bluey

Re: Sunnys first trip to the vet.
I'm so paranoid when it comes to sexing young buns, the nethie rio were abut 8 weeks when I got them and have been religiously rechecked every week up until two weeks ago (16 weeks) when I was finally convinced I had them all right.
Safe to say they hate their 'perverted' foster carer.
