Any new toy ideas?
Hey HH friends,
Just wondering if anyone has discovered any new "toys" or activities for their buns?
I'm concerned that my two are going to be mega bored come September when I'm working full time. If they are in the cage they do NOTHING, and even when they are out of the cage all they do is explore and beg for food
I wish I could get a castle made out of Willow sticks!

Re: Any new toy ideas?
You could make one! That, I would love to see.
My bunnies are exactly the same and don't play really. They run and jump loads and love to chew of course but they have balls and wooden rolly things but they're just not interested. You can buy wooden houses and things but they're usually quite small and expensive. Things tied to the cage is a good idea like thick ropes and wooden things. Have you tried a cuddly toy? Pippin loves pushing his cuddly bunny around and throwing it in the air!

Elly when I went away on Saturday and knew Fudge would havbe the potential to get bored I stuffed a brown paper bag with hay and interspaced fresh herbs and bunny treats in it!! He loved it!
For your two how about do a cardboard box stuffed with hay and any fave treatss to make it more interesting make shapes in the side for them to explore in and out.....
If you have a carpet place near you ask them to cut you some of the inner tube from the centre into different sizes for them to explore through???

It's funny but I've actually seen those bags to buy. Just paper bags with a couple of holes in and stuffed with hay and treats and I've seen them to buy for a fiver! Make your own, it's much cheaper and will keep bunny entertain for ages.

When I have weeks when I'm not home as much, I tend to make cardboard condos, a few boxes together, that interlink and have cut out doors, and windows etc. I fill them full of brown paper, hay, grass, bits of treats etc, and he spends ages in there trying to get all the brown paper out

Jelly and Pebbles love toys , Domino is a little harder to please. The thing i found that was the best was a digging pit. Now i know your buns are inside so you can hardly have soil, but... you could fill with shredded paper/hay and hude veggies and food inside so they have to forage
