Our story U/D with Pictures
Hi,
Here's a shortened version of our story.
I accidentally became mum to Thumper 10 years ago. She was found a stray by my father-in-law, she lived with them for a while but I fell in love with her and made it my mission to make her mine
It was also easier all round because they have a dog and they didn't get on very well.
Although most are of the opinion that Thumper is a boy's name, she is in fact a girl. She earned her name that very first night she was found by thumping all night long. She was clearly terrified.
She is the only bunny I have ever had and I love the bones of her! She is a spoiled little princess and everyone tells me that she has the best life a bunny could ask for. Even the receptionist at the vet laughs
She used to live outside but since I moved out of my parents house 4 years ago, she has been a house bunny!
We have been through a lot together. She has had surgery for tumors and teeth problems. She had a blockage last year and I really thought we were going to lose her. The work that vets can do these days is INCREDIBLE!!!
At at least 10 years old, she is starting to slow down a bit. Watching her age breaks my heart a little bit every day.
Hopefully talk to you all soon, glad to find you all

Re: Our story U/D with Pictures
She is a lop. Definitely not a mini
I really wish I knew more about her blood lines, where she came from etc. She's my little mystery.
I have LOADS of pictures but as it stands, I don't yet know how to attach pics here As soon as I figure it out, I will update this thread with a few.
Thanks for your replies.

Re: Our story U/D with Pictures
My Felix was a stray so I don't really know how old he is.
It is amazing how old your bun is. Catwhiskas, who is a moderator on here has a bun who is nearly 11. Chance has had more comebacks than James Brown.
Definitely post some pics of this aged lady.

Our story U/D with Pictures
Hi All and thank you for the warm welcome
I do post on another forum (not bunny related!) but have never had the need to post pictures before.
Thank you for the link to the help with the pictures, much appreciated. I tried it last night but was having laptop issues. Today it was easier and I think I've got it sorted, so here goes!
(Apologies if I'm breaking any rules here, just PM me if I am. I'm new to this )
This pic is from when she was much much younger, and daft as a brush
This is another one from when she was much younger, having a play in the garden.
More recent. Most week morning's these days I have to wake her up. Here's one of her with bed-head
Here she is having a snooze on her towel. She looks really overweight in this pic, but she's not really. It's a combination of the way she is lying and her fur coming out
I hope you like them, there's plenty more where these came from

Thank you! I have never ever came across another bunny that looks like her. And I am in pet shops a lot
Makes me even more curious about where she came from.

Thanks
I have so much pictures of her that I struggled to pick which ones to use. Hopefully I'll manage to sneak some more in in the future

Re: Our story U/D with Pictures
She is just beautiful What a stunning lady. My old man has been to the brink and back many times. I often think that the ones who make it to real old bones like him and Thumper, are made of stern stuff. She is beautiful and it is lovely to have you both here.
Re: Our story U/D with Pictures
Thank you for the welcome!
You are so right, they must be made of stern stuff for sure.
It's so sad watching them age, I wish I could turn both your old man and my old lady back into little young things again.
If only!

Re: Our story U/D with Pictures
You have done so well to get her there! So many buns die young because their owners don't know they can live that long and don't know how to look after them properly. Such a shame.
