Hmmm,it doesn't look like a myxi spot to me. Not sure what else it could be though. Give her a snuggle from me xx

That is most odd. I'm not sure what that could be...
I'm sure someone will be able to give a suggestion though
Sending lots of vibes to Annie in the mean time though. Precious girl

I know that annie's is exterior but maybe this - http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Eye_diseases/Disorder/Meib/Meib_en.htm
If you look on the medi rabbit eye diseases page there is a similar, although larger, example that looks similar. It is a case of a vaccinated bun with Myxi. I would be asking your vet, or sending an email with photo to Mr C.

Re: What is this? - UD Annie doing well....
I know she has her problems but I assume she is vaccinated Katie. As long as that is the case I don't think there is too much to worry about.

Yes she is vaccinated -
I also discovered this morning that Charlie looks like he has fur mites? I'm wondering if the two are related!
I don't know how this can happen! I always make sure there environment is really clean ( I know that's not how mixi is spread).
I brought some cheap ya just for them to sleep in and I'm wondering if its contaminated?????

Oh gosh, Katie - this is all you need
I really hope Annie's eye is nothing horrible
If Charlie has mites, this is nothing to do with cleanliness - as far as I know, stress can allow them to develop. Has he seemed ok lately?

Re: What is this? - UD Annie doing well....
He was very stressed after his dental last week - he is a nervous little lad anyway.
I have read on the RWAF site that mites can spread mixi, so I think if Annie has it (which I'm surer by the minute that she has). This must be how she got it which means Charlie prob has it too, and Im worried about Daisy, who is not showing any symptoms but has been quiet lately.
I just don't know how much more I can take.

Their jabs were done end of July - they had the singles because they had had the single in Feb.

Re: What is this? - UD Annie doing well....
Oh Katie, I am so sorry that this is happening to you. Annie does look as though she has a stye, I have everything crossed that is is nothing more sinister than this. Her genital area doesn't look affected at all does it?
Please don't beat yourself up over the mites. We realised exactly twelve months ago that all the buns here appeared to have them, and may well have had for some time even though I blamed the current batch of hay. They are easily treated. Noo was the worst affected and I do wonder if this was linked to her having an underlying condition.
Am thinking of you and hope JC gets back to you very quickly xxxxxxxxxxx

Re: What is this? - UD Annie doing well....
Her lady bits seem enlarged to me.
Im now completely sure she has Myxi.
what is it I am doing wrong?
Three ill bunnies and now Myxi and mites???
I make sure they are cleaned out every morning, they have snuggly fleeces and blankets, loads of fresh greens and herbs, a good quality food, pro-c in their water, the best vet care money can buy, free range of a whole garden at least 4 hours a day and access to a large run and their shed the rest of the time. They are vaccinated and they are loved!

Re: What is this? - UD Annie doing well....
Oh Katie, I am praying you are wrong about this. It is unbearably cruel and unfair though that despite the best possible care we can't completely protect our precious bunnies. Please believe that this is nothing to do with what you are doing or not doing, I can't think of many bunnies that have the care and attention that you give. My heart goes out to you, I wish I could say or do more. All I can say is that I, like everyone here, will be thinking of you and Annie and praying that this is not mxyi

Re: What is this? - UD Annie doing well....
Oh no, that is awful.
I have the same kind of cysts on my eyelids and they are just fatty lumps that can be taken away but aren't like a boil or full of infection. They are a blockage of the oil glands in the eyelid. Fingers crossed this what she has.
If she does have myxi, it isn't because of anything you haven't done right, but probably because her immune system isn't functioning at its optimum.
Hope that you can get some answers at the vet.
