I prefer this type

also because it's big and I have a lot of piggies that use it.
I prefer it to this one

the other type doesn't leak as much either and of course it's much stronger plastic

Have you tried a heavy weight bowl at all? Daisy also has trouble with water bottles - (laziness I think) but at first he would flip over every bowl we gave him.

Now he has a heavy bowl (and a bottle) and it works much better.

Where I buy them is a day's travel from you, I guess you're not interested in a shop in Lommel, Belgium Laughing

I use bowls for Bruce & Jose as well. When Jose had a water bottle she would struggle to use it and get fed up drinking from it, so she just wouldn't drink any water. But with a heavy bowl they are much better and actually drink water!

What issues are you having with your current water bottle?

Hi Thumbs Up

I am not a big fan of water bottles - the dripping drove me mad so very soon swapped to bowls.

I use heavyweight bowls, and I have no doubt the buns prefer these to bottles. It must be more natural for a bun to drink from a bowl rather than a bottle Smile

Thanks for your replies, Belgium is a little far to travel Lopz but thanks anyway. I did try a water bowel but he just gets all his sawdust and hay in it!!! I might try again. x

You could also rinse his vegggies in water and not shake it off too much, this will increase his water intake Smile

I use a heavy bowl too when Pippin stopped using his water bottle. I didn't like the bowl either because it was always getting sawdust in it but then I stopped using sawdust (for other reasons not cos of the bowl) and thus solved the problem Smile

Like other things with bunnies, its a bit of trial and error trying out different things as all rabbits like/dislike different things. Hope you find what works for you soon.
