Water bottles
I know a lot of you use bowls but those of you who use bottles, how often do you clean them and what with?
Pro-c makes for a very dirty bottle, my cleaning process is a tad complicated and is gettiing rather tedious
Any suggestions welcome!

Re: Water bottles
I generally use water and bottle brushes (Lakeland do mini ones that are great for seeing to the spouts). If they are getting scrub resistant I use milton sterilising fluid.

Re: Water bottles
I struggled for ages with algae (sp) in water bottles until I bought Milton. I figured if you can use it for baby bottles you can use it for animals too. I clean them out once a week with it, leave it to soak for 15 mins and job done, no green stuff and as new bottles!

Pro-C is a probiotic. It is useful if you have buns with digestive problems.

Re: Water bottles
I used to always swill the bottles out every morning and every night when i used them and every couple of days took them inside and got the bottle washer on them, found the bottles leaked so put a bowl in as well but eventually the buns took to drinking out of the bowls instead.

Re: Water bottles
We clean the water bottles about twice a month. I put the tube top in boiling water only and I add a tiny bit of Baby steriliser in the bottle and fill with cold water or warm water never hot or boiling as it can distort the bottles, and then I leave them overnight.
In between they are rinsed out everytime we refill them.
Don't put the metal drinking tube in steriliser as the steriliser has a reaction to the metal.

Re: Water bottles
It's the Pro-c that is making the bottle really dirty

It makes the metal drinking tube go green and nasty and it's just ruined then, just pop some boiling water in a dish and pop the top bit with the metal tube in and that will get anything out of the tube. It's surprising what comes out overnight.
