Vibes for Bertie - UD he's gone :(

Hi guys, we've had a bit of a week of it with Berts. I think having the family here (they only went yesterday, not on Weds) has disrupted his pattern so much that the poor thing is exhausted. Without his quiet room, (Paul's bro was in it) and living in our living room for the past fortnight, missing his afternoon sleeps, and us having later nights that usual, it's not surprising
He had to go vets on Tuesday for mites, big patches appeared on him almost overnight, which I know can be stress related, got the jab and that seems to be clearing.
This morning, he's in stasis, with a bit of bloat. After 4 hours of massages, mashed up SS, plenty of water, etc, there was no change. I rang Mr C first, and then took him to the OOH vets, he's had a Metacloproinde jab, and I have some oral Met. to give him in a couple of hours if there's no change, which there isn't at present. I grabbed some Bio lapis whilst I was there, which I'm gonna give him in a mo. If things don't improve soon, we may be taking him to John's to admit him - he's been a saint, called me a few times to check up on him.

For the first time in ages, we're really worried about him, I've always been able to get him out of stasis before, so this is pretty scary. Any spare vibes would be much appreciated for our little guy, thanks.

I have finally got some time to get back into HH and have found the news about Bertie.

I am sending all the vibes in the world to Bertie, you and Paul. I hope having Mr C on call eases the worry a wee bit for you.

Oh dear, sounds quite worrying! Hope Bertie picks up soon, Domino had mites a few weeks ago they just suddenly appeared out of nowehere, not that he has anything to be stressed about.

Thanks guys, means a lot His abdomen is now pretty bloated, I've given him a dose of oral Met. and have to call Mr C soon, to see if we need to take him there, never dealt with bloat, am pretty scared

Oh Jay, what a nightmare for you. Bloat can be scary but they can, and do, recover. lots of prayers and millions of vibes from the four of us here. I'm really glad your getting support from Mr C.

Situation is serious, but not insurmountable, his abdomen is like rock. He's had an opiate pain killer, and is getting subQ's, and if he makes it to the morning, will be taken to surgery.

Everyone's been been so brilliant, John has pulled out all the stops, Anne drove us there and back, and Theo has taken a lot of anxious calls from to-day, so thank-you

How worrying for you. Im sure Bertie will pull through hes such a good little fighter, i'll be thinking of the little guy.x

Jay has just rung me to say that Bertie has deteriorated overnight and the situation is now critical, please pray for this very special little boy and for Jay and Paul, Bertie needs every spare vibe that's going to get him through this, will update if I hear anymore

Please keep us updated Theo. I just bear to think of how devastated Jay will be if anything happens to Bertie. Hoping and praying that the wee man can turn a corner. xx

Oh no the first thing I did today was come on here, to check please get better Bertie!

Jay has said that it is not good and to expect the worst, he has been with the vet all night at his house and has now been taken to surgery for xrays etc but it's not looking good at all, Jay and Paul are just beside themselves with worry, I am praying so hard for Bertie because he is a very, very special bunny, please keep sending your love, vibes, hugs and prayers

I don't know what to say, I can't cry cos I don't think I'll stop I feel like i've got a stone in my heart, but it ain't over yet. Paul is in pieces, am trying to support him. Thanks for your wishes, please keep them coming xx

i have only just seen this-am so sorry to hear about Bertie. i don't know what to say apart from i am thinking of you all and sending lots of vibes for Bertie.
