Hydrating a bun in stasis
How much and how often? Is it 10ml every hour?
Would appreciate experience from veterinary advice rather than owners hunch etc.
Thanks

Re: Hydrating a bun in stasis
Sorry - ive never been told how much - so it would just be what I do with daisy. 20ml warm water every 3 hours is what we do, to give it time to work through.

It's odd - I have looked in my books and though there are references there on how to syringe hydrate, give sub-cut and I/V fluids there is no mention of how much should be given!

I am pretty sure I was told to aim for 10ml an hour with Caspian, but he used to get sub-q's as well....
