G I stasis Empty G I stasis

Post by gemma997 Sun Sep 29, 2019 10:11 pm

Thundercracker was rushed to the hospital the other night he stopped eating drinking and was very lethargic.
He got home yesterday and was only eating a leaf or two of kale so I was tipping him up with syringe feeds.
This morning I thought I was losing him he didn't seem to be picking up any.
Now he is eating on his own and even had a wee run about.

Blitzwing missed him so bad when he came home she wouldn't leave him and anytime it medicine time and I go to get him she barges in the way so it harder for me to pick him up. She loves him very dearly.

Fingers crossed he keeps on the mend X

Honestly tonight you would never have thought there was anything wrong with him. Such a big difference between this morning and now.
I have never been so worried

Great news. They certainly know how to scare the C out of us, don't they?

Back to normal thank God.
Still no clue what caused it but he did have his vacs just a few days before.

Keeping a very close eye on him, if he was huffing before over me being a too fussy mummy he hasn't seen anything yet ROFLROFL

Glad he's OK again. Could well have been his jabs. And this time of year the greens seem to have an effect on buns. I discussed it with a vet once and he put a couple of theories in the ring. 1) the lessening of daylight hours affecting the greens and 2) perhaps frost affecting them. Both he thought could make the greens 'stronger' and advised feed smaller amounts or none at all. I stopped feeding to some of mine and lessened with others. In the end, with Reboot I fed only herbs.
And I think you two will be at war soon ...haha.
