Oh no now Lucy Rose is ill/ Blockage/ EMERGENCY VETS / PTS

She's never ever poorly but she is panting quickly and Mike has took her blood glucose levels and they are 8.6 which is not great. He's just given her some meds and we are giving her 30 mins for them to kick in and if she's no better she is going to the emergency vet's

Her sugar levels have gone up to 10 Mike is popping her to the emergency vets now she is breathing quite fast
only she had a tumour removed when we first got her and I hope she hasn't another

I can't believe this is happening I can't cope with this anymore, when I lost Pud Lucy Rose took over and she has been my
constant companion in the kitchen like Pud was and everybody loves her, I can't lose her I can't

Quick update

as I'm cleaning out cages, trying to get feeds done and I've to make a pen for boarders coming in tomorrow but I will do that tonight.

Mike has rang me to say they checked her blood glucose again when she got to the vet's and it was 26 and Honor admitted her straight away and said she thought it was a blockage which it was, Mike is waiting there to bring her back and I've just made up an indoor cage for her with vet bed. At least we know about blockages as this is our 3rd in 2 years but it look's like we will be up late again as she will need a vetergesic injection no doubt every 6 hours.

Will keep you updated, what a bad start to the year already

Another quick update

Lucy Rose has had her op and she is now in the process of coming round, Mike is still there I knew he wouldn't leave her I told him not to leave my girl.

She is not out of the woods yet as the next 24 hours after a blockage Op is critical but we have done it twice before and we will do it again we have to we can't lose
her we have lost two and I don't think either of us could cope with losing another

It's going to be a long long night yet again.

Mike was going to make me a special meal tonight to cheer me up with it being Mother's Day as well........it never rains!
