Oh no now Lucy Rose is ill/ Blockage/ EMERGENCY VETS / PTS

Oh gosh Maysie, I am so sorry I have missed this and wasn't able to send pre-op vibes and loving hugs to you, Mike and Lucy Rose beforehand

I am so glad she is coming home to her loving hu-parents. She is in the best possible hands with you guys

Come on Lucy Rose, you can do it! Sending all the vibes in the world to you, sweetheart.

And these are for you and Mike, Maysie I just cannot believe this.

UPDATE

She's home and I'm so glad as it's snowing and freezing out, Mike's just put her in her indoor cage with a towel round her to keep her nice and warm. Honor said she came round quickly but she has never seen a rabbit who's glucose level was so high and Mike said 'well she is a tuckerbunny'.

The operation cost £1,100 because it was out of hours but Honor who should have finished at 7:oclock stayed on to do the op and got the charge down to £800 for us. Which we very much appreciated as it's been a very exspensive couple of months and Honor is just a fantastic bunny vet.

So Mike has just popped out to get some sandwiches as we are starving and no doubt a couple of cans for himself.

I wish you lived just round the corner, we could at least make sure you got a decent dinner

Loads and loads of vibes and our thoughts will be with you constantly for the next 24 hours

oh some good news I don't blame mike if he gets himself a couple of cans
really good of your vet to do all that fingers crossed and hugs and vibes that she keeps coming on well
I see another long night for you lot

Update Monday 2:40 am

Well she has been quite amazing, she has had something to eat and a big drink of water and apart from being really sleepy she seems ok. Mike has just given her a Vetergesic injection and she will have to have another Vetergesic at 8:00 am and Metoclopramide and zantac at 4:00 am. So far she is doing ok

I took this of her this afternoon when Mike gave her some meds when we saw her breathing quite rapidly of course they didn't work and she was rushed to the vet's


This is when she came back from the vet's after her op and we put her in an indoor cage all covered up to keep her warm.

Well this morning she is fine been eating I know if she wasn't so sleepy (that will be the Vetergesic)she would not be happy and throwing a diva strop as she has to
stay in today, she's back at the vet's tomorrow for a check-up on her op site.

So at the moment it's all good

Update Monday 2:31pm

Lucy Rose has had her meds and she's eaten a little of her breakfast I'm not to worried about that as she is just a bit sleepy.

The blockage was due to 'fur' that she had digested and the blockage went a good way along her system so we were very lucky
that we got her there quickly.

Sometimes these older buns amaze me as they seem to cope more than the younger buns.

i'm so pleased she is ok and lucky she is there with you and mike as you always act quickly for the buns xx

I hadn't been on since early yesterday! I'm SO glad that Lucy Rose is doing so well. She is just the sweest little bunny. I Lucy Rose. I'm glad Honor got the bill down. I imagine she didn't take any pay for doing the surgery even if the bill might have said so. I mean you are unfortunately very steady clients and bring them lots of business!
