Just had to rescue poor Juno...
...from some bloody cat that had trespassed into my garden. It had completely blanked the three adult buns, made a beeline for her run and was sat right by the mesh watching her.
I only realised it was there because I heard her screaming and ran to the window (such a horrible noise, made my blood run cold) it hadn't touched her or anything but she was so scared so I pegged it outside in my jammies & socks.
Thats the last time she is going to be going outside for a while, poor little mite

Aww i hope shes ok. I went out to find a cat sitting in Berts hutch whilst he hopped round the garden without a care in the world!

She is, she's had a cuddle and is munching some cabbage now. I hate the sound of them screaming so, so much.

Re: Just had to rescue poor Juno...
OMG How horrible Was the cat trying to swipe at her or anything, or is she just spooked by things like that? Poor little thing. I have only heard a scream once when Rhia was around my feet when I was doing something & I stood on her leg with big heavy wellies on - Never, ever want to hear it again. Its chilling

From what I saw it was just watching her but because of her wild roots she is really bothered by attention in that way, whereas my domestic buns totally blank cats.....and even foxes . Also predators seem to pick up on the fact that not only is she small but that she is 'different'... maybe its her fear, her disability or just that they can tell she is wild but they certainly pay her more attention than a normal rabbit, even my cats (who have always been around rabbits).
Re: Just had to rescue poor Juno...
Sodding cats! I must admit our cats tend to be more interested in the wild buns rather than the two in the hutch, so I''m not surprised poor Juno was frightened. I hate the screaming too - only ever heard it once or twice but it sends shivers through me. Poor Juno - Tibbs and Truffles send bunny cuddles!

Hope Juno is ok now. What a fright you must have got.
A bunny screaming is such a chilling sound, one of the worst things I've ever heard

Re: Just had to rescue poor Juno...
Thnks for all your thoughts.
It's really shaken her up, she has been so quiet today and isn't eating as much as usual either.
I'm keeping a very close eye on her.

Glad Juno is feeling better.
Our buns don't bat an eyelid when our cat walks by their runs, but a strange cat causes a stampathon.
