Thanks guys, he is sat next to me in the living room now with Lexie. He hasn't eaten at all today and just wants to be lef alone really, bless him.

So sorry to hear about this Sooz. You have done absolutely all you can to help him and now you are doing the best, kindest thing that you can for him. It's a hard but very brave decision and I am sure that he will be grateful for it.

Mack went peacefully to sleep at around 5:20pm, he had a Domitor & Ketamine aneasthetic before hand and a pentobarbituate injection once he was fully unconscious. I'm happy he didn't feel a thing and it was a far better death than some natural ones I have witnessed. Lexie was cuddled up with him as he slipped away, I think she understood.

I am so sorry Sooz, it must have been really heartbreaking for you, although a relief that Mack's passing was so peaceful.

He went so quickly after the pentobarb' that it reassured me it was the right decision. I am really pleased with the approach we took, he literally fell asleep next to Lex in his carrier as the GA injection combo kicked in and he stretched out and relaxed as he did so. After the pentobarb it must have been about 40 seconds before he slipped away completely....such a contrast to Caspian's 4-5 minutes.

Sooz I am so relieved that this brave and unbelievable little bunny, had the peaceful, painfree end he deserved. I know your heart must be breaking, but I just wanted to say how much I admire and look up to you as a fantastic bunny mum. You did everything you could for Mack xxxx

So sorry for your pain Sooz. I am glad that he had a painfree end because he had to deal with so much in life. You did absolutely everything that you could for him and I think being brave enough to do this last thing for him was best for him. I just want to wrap my arms around you and give you a big hug.
