Rhias got sore ears? Empty Rhias got sore ears?

Post by Becki Sun Feb 07, 2010 9:21 pm

Noticed as soon as I let Bee out this morning that she was shaking her head quite a bit. Held her whilst I looked in her ears, all lovely & healthy looking, and shes fine in herself. Had a feel of them & it seemed to bother her a lot when I touched a certain part, near the base of the ear. Watched her for a bit tonight & havent seen her shaking them (Impossible to judge when they know its tea-time, normal behavior is resumed post-feeding Laughing), but it does still seem tender when I touch that part. Im guessing its going to be something along the lines of ear mites, an ear infection? Hmmm Im working all day tomorrow so its 'Rabbit-Dads' first lone vet trip(!) - which in itself doesn't worry me, the fact that I cant find a decent vet however, does Hissy

Those would be my initial thoughts too Becki, I expect the vets may not be able to see anything if it's too deep in the ear canal but it's likely they will prescribe some antibiotics and maybe some mite treatment like Ivermectin for her...at least, let's hope they do.

Good luck to 'rabbit-dad' on his first vet trip Thumbs Up
