Taffy had not eaten very well today, but his weight is still the same (Humum is starting to think he must be sending for takeaways).

His snuffles is just starting to come up a bit in his nose, so he is going to be getting nebulised over the weekend. Humum thinks he might not be able to smell very well which is not helping when it comes to his appetite.

As his poos have been a tiny bit better, he has some Loxicom for pain relief and as an anti-inflammatory. They went for this simply because he has had it before, rather than try Metacam which would be new to him. Humum has instructions that if he gets runny poo again he is to be taken straight back off it.

Apart from that, it's just going to be a weekend of intensive nursing and trying to get him eating better.

He's just not very interested in eating Today he is being very reluctantly syringe fed Recovery and a bit of baby food. He's showing signs of annoyance for the first time - gnashing his teeth and digging at his blankie. He's actually eating less on his own than he was before. If he's not much improved by Monday, Humum thinks they might have to re-assess his quality of life and his hopes of a fuller recovery

He's just had half an hour in the nebuliser and now he is back in his pen she can hear him eating a bit of veg. It's the first thing he has eaten voluntarily in 24 hours.

I'm really sorry to read that he's not done as well in the last 24 hours. I really hope it's just a little blip and that he gets stronger and happier very soon.

Oh Sparky - if I were you I'd be having words with him, telling him that humum is doing him porridge oats and honey and nobun - not even a poorly one! - should refuse that

He's eaten a load more veg overnight, and now he is having a wash which Humum has not seen him do for a while....
