Re: A Pee Problem UD. RESULTS
I probably will just put it through the insurance as i don't want to ask mum for the extra money for the tests that have to be sent off.
As for taking them both, i mentioned putting a dot in her ears but mum doesn't want me to take them both incase something happens like last time with Skye. A
Part of me worries but i hadn't thought about it tousled she mentioned it.

Re: A Pee Problem UD. RESULTS
i would use insurance as sparky says it's there for that reason but i know when i claimed for bluebell last year they put the insurance premium up this year stating it was due to having made a claim in th past.
i understand your worry though of dolly and marley going together after what happened

Re: A Pee Problem UD. RESULTS
I think i am just going to use the insurance, but i dont want to. I just like to know its there, incase i get a really big bill. Anyway, i dont know how drowsy she will be as im picking her up at lunch timeish, so ive got a snuggle safe out and put some fresh fleeces in the pen for them to sleep on tonight and it wont be too clean when i put her back with Marley.
Ive asked them to leave her in her carrier as its fairly big and i havent changed the blankets from when they were there on Thursday, so it should smell more familiar than the cattery. And of course, she will go with her lunch. Shes only having a blood test! I dont know what to expect though really.

Fingers, paws all crossed here as well. Rory says he'd cross his ears too but they are tooooo short and that it's hard to hop with his legs crossed that way...but he can still binky!!

Thank you, Maysie. They tried it without sedation but she wasnt having any of it so she has 2 bald patches Other than that shes no worse for wear and was her usual self once she got home to Marley, but has been extra snuggly. So, weve all taken advantage of Dolly's sweeter side tonight and had a fuss on Mums bed, shes lapped it up too
She seems to have stopped spotting urine everywhere, i think. We should get the results back within a week.

It's nice to hear Dolly monster has turned into 'snuggle monster'. Even if it's just for one night!

Re: A Pee Problem UD. RESULTS
I'm glad she is home safe
I still have my paws crossed for good results, which makes it awkward to move anywhere but I am right by my food bowl so I should be fine for another week

Can anyone else see that Sparky's paws are crossed so that her body actually encircles her
food bowl? She wouldn't want to miss a stray morsel after all!
Sending top up vibes for Dolly!

Theyre fine, Dolly is still drinking an awful lot, but shes stopped peeing all over (i dont know if ive already mentioned that though). Marley sussed out the basil trick last night, i didnt roll it up as well and it dribbled out a bit so he wouldnt have it
Ill let you know when i get the reults though. I dont know what to expect. EC sounds so serious, but shes fine in herself. I wasnt going to bother testing for it in the end, because it makes no difference anyway, but Mum is wanting to know because of me, and is steam cleaning my room at the weekend, we have an f10 room fogger too! Ros said that she will speak to Richard Saunders for me, because if theres anything to find out about it in people, he will find it.
Im not expecting kidney or liver damage. If theres no protein in the urine, its not likely to be her kidneys, is it?

Re: A Pee Problem UD. RESULTS
The vets called when i was at the hospital today, which was great timing, because we were going to ask the consultant about the potential risks to my heaalth.
Anyway, she tested negative for exposure to EC However her haemoglobin was slightly down and urea was up, which could suggest kidney problems, but it was only marginal. She is fine, and seems to have stopped spotting urine, but is still drinking an awful lot. We just have to keep a close eye on her weight, what shes eating and drinking etc and her poos. Jane said that it may be that she needs her teeth doing and if theres any change, they would suggest having a dental exam under GA - im wondering if this should have been done when she was sedated for her bloods anyway? Im just going to worry that shes got kidney problems now! Im trying not to worry too much anyway, as i know im sure she will be fine, and ill notice if she gets any worse.
