Thanks everyone, bless her, her eyes are all poppy out where they are wet and Kobi is protecting her by standing over her whille she has a nap. The vets have referred us to another vets in Surrey who have extra specialist vets so we've booked her in for Tuesday to get their opinion and see if they have any other options or suggestions or what to do next. Our vet has sent the scans from the ultrasound and X-ray to them.

She seems happy enough though she even let me stroke her eventually. I think Kobi had the hump with me at first too Sad

I just want to do everything possible for her, I don't want to risk her health as apart from her eye the vets seem to think she's perfectly healthy. If she had surgery and it meant she would go blind in that eye I'd rather that than not do anything and leave her to die, I don't know if that's just me being selfish though

Oh hun how awful.

When you have spoken to the specialist vet you will know more.

Ask him to be honest and frank with you about exactly what you and Cookie can expect from any operation - what her chances of a full recovery are and how she is likely to cope with any blindness. I think only once you have all the facts you can make a decision.

Its a really good idea to write down the questions you have so that you get all the answers you need hun.

Thinking of you all sweetheart, please give them both a cuddle from me.

Im sending lots and lots of vibes for your gorgeous girl and hugs for you x x

I don't think thats selfish at all, i would do the same i think!!! Yes she may lose her sight in that eye, but she will still have her sight in the other! someone on here has a totally blind bunny and seems to live a happy normal life!!! im sure she would rather be alive and healthy with Kobi!!!

Fingers crossed the specialist can offer some hope and options! Hugs

Everyone is so sweet, I'm so glad I came on here and uploaded the pic of her to be encouraged to take her back to the vet, otherwise she might have still been suffering in silence Sad

My mum is offering to help out with costs bless her, I'm just wanting next Tues to hurry up and come round!

I reeeeeeeeeeaally hope they can tell me what it is for definate and then we can look at the next steps we have to take.

Kobi is looking after her, he even put his arm/paw round her last night as they cuddled up. He does still make her wash his head though!

We have all our fingers and paws crossed here for Cookie xxxxxxxxx

and can I just say we had Angel who we lost in May last year and he was totally blind and was happy and content and we have Baby Saint who is totally blind and she is one of the happiest little bunnies we have ever seen.

Thinking of you Hugs Hugs

She's not booked in till next Tuesday Sad but she'll be seeing the Opthalmology department and the consultation is 30mins - 1hr i think. They have her ultrasound and xray scans so hopefully they will be able to shed a bit more light.

She doesn't seem to be letting it bother her, but I do feel sorry for her where they've trimmed the fur round her eyes which makes the eyeball look worse Sad

Haha yeah he does, he won't stop pestering her if you know what I mean! They are both neutered/spayed so I dont know what's got into him recently lol

She seems to be lapping up the attention from us though which is unusual, maybe she's thinking 'finally, they noticed something was wrong!' Poor little girl, I keep telling her we're doing the best we can and hopefully make her all better Smile

My pair are both done but they are quite often at it like the proverbial! Are you taking him with her for support?

Yeah we'll take him along too, be a nice day out for him lol he stayed all day with her at our vets for her ultrasound the other day Smile hopefully they won't mind us taking him with her on Tuesday. He's her comfort blanket!

Lol yes Kobi can be very persistant, although cookie just hops away so we try to introduce a teddy to get it out of his system but he's not silly lol

Isn't it a dominance thing mounting another bunnny when it isn't to mate?

yeah i think that's what this must be, he is definately the more dominant one! I've only just recently re-introduced them too so he's probably still showing whose boss. They are inseperable though, it's so lovely to see, I've never had 2 bunnies that have got on with each other before! I just hope Cookie pulls through all this otherwise we'll all be heartbroken

I think so, Tigger humps Jeeves quite a bit and he has no idea what's going on, he just looks up at me completely bewildered. Laughing
